My neurological superpower is monomania- I can think about the same thing for weeks at a time. Tech managers hate it tho- they want you to be able to drop a task and pivot to something unrelated instantly. Jira tickets likewise pay no heed to how techie work is done.
(I suppose neurotypical devs are able to do the constant switching?) Switching topics feels like a brain reboot. It isn't always something I can turn on and off on demand.

Today I unfollowed an account of a famous local techie who passed away. Found another account I follow that says "smalltalk developer" I can only assume this is another tragic case of a developer passing away.
I think full-stack developers now are probably developers that use some specific framework (eg. jinja2-django-orm-postgres) otherwise each tier requires a specialist.
META: as I unfollow accounts, I'm surprised how many accounts follow 0. Either they've just quit and aren't here, or their account is 100% writing & reading comments. I guess that was the old model for blogs.
IDEA: maybe for better social zooms, if you got, say 75 people, create 3 entirely different zooms. Assign pairs of people to be the "conversation seed" hosts for each of the 3 room. Voila, now as many as 30 people can attend & talk.
If 75 invites really did show up at the 1 social zoom, 70 would be quiet and 5 would talk & it will always be the same 5.

Once I re-arrange my follows, I'm going to loose one interesting insight- a lot of developers in DC now work for companies nowhere near DC. A lot of developers that work for DC companies live nowhere near DC. The category of developers who live & work in DC is almost meaningless

Thinking about crypto again... a thing turns into an illegal security based on what promises are made. So for a collectible, the promise is "you will own this beanie baby," so no problem. For a ponzi/bizop "you will make income" & that is a problem if no such thing is possible
For crypto, the promise is "this won't gain/lose value relative to money" & that promise is problematic. If that promise can't be made, then it isn't money, it's a collectible. NFTs are at least more honest about the grift, there is no expectation
