protobuf appears to require a handwritten schema for each object you want to serialize (I think?)

IDEA: a serializer that serializes arbitrary python list/dict structures to MARC (don't ask) and with an on-the-fly generated schema. Kind of like retrocomputing, but retroprogramming.

Load testing anti-patterns
- Stress testing 429s. A lot of 429s doesn't count as serving load.
- Stress testing 100% 500s/404s. Error pages are performant already, some of the requests have to be 200s
- Stress testing empties. Some requests for data return 200 for "no data"
- Stress testing just the cache subsystem by making one request (cache miss) and then replaying the same request.

- advertiser boycott (a ala Flush Rush)
- supplier boycott
- divest (like South Africa during aparheid)

For the openapi stack I ended up with (openapi-generator + connexion) both of them almost actively work to make sure you only use json. I miss .NET's WebAPI (circa 2015) which made it easy to support lots of media types.
