IDEA: how many fake libraries can you make that are wrappers around regex, e.g. a refactoring library where when it comes time to do refactoring you just provide a place for the user to configure a regex expression. Another way is to create a library that supports plugins and provides no default plugins.
A cookiecutter library that creates a starter project for you with empty files if you specify all the file names.

@wanderingleaf 100% comes down to which countries are open to immigration from your country and if your job skills can be converted to work in one of those countries. Also, after a certain age, if you move to a low cost country, then you can basically retire early & supplement your savings with remote work (which is probably completely unreliable)
Serverless architectures allow you to focus on what you care about, your business, value adding code.
And it allows your devops guy to focus on doing quadruple the work and the ops team to focus on doing double the work.
Does LLM-assisted programming make you stupid? I can image agentic style does (hey bot, translate this javascript library into Go, wake me in the morning when you're done!)

Ludwig Wittgenstein thought people might have a private language and private meanings for words. Later philosophers said, that's now how language works. But I've met people with private meanings for words. I think the motivation is to show rank. People in the chain of command can not bother to care about what words mean, it's up to the lesser to figure out what is being said. Words-have-no-meaning is both "don't care" and "contempt" at the same time.
What are people replacing WaPo with? The Atlantic? The Guardian?

A separate scrum master role is fraud.
- If PO, PMs, Tech Leads are following some process, the role is redundant
- if the POs, PMs are violating all of it, the scrum master can't do anything about it but cheer it on, scrum master exist to amplify *whatever* management wants

Chronological feed = bad 1/2 the time, but w/o the malice of the algorithmic feed
So content in a feed is either news or special interest (i.e timeless content). Chronological feed hides all the timeless content. For example in youtube, you only get the crappy content with sponsors in the feed. You have to click, see all videos, most popular to see the best content the creator did before they got famous and quit their day job.
So my mastodon client that sliced up the content so it wasn't jumbled let some content pop up like rocks emerging from a river when the water level drops. This was awesome! I didn't know some of these accounts had real, vivid people behind them hidden in the retweets and noise.
A few weeks later... not enough content! Too hard to find what is new and unread. (Or old, but good & unread). So that's the next feature I want to work on.

I just got a nagging suspicion that AWS KMS is a fraud and provides no security above that provided by IAM permissioning.
Given society is decided have everyone commit fraud at all levels, why wouldn't all the cloud vendors do the same if they could?
