- The maintainers are long gone on most projects so to join I'd need to fork, and let that there be 30 1 man forks that will be abandoned in 10 minutes, those 30 people would all rather be in a 30 person fork.

TODO management
- Jira ticket- Huge chunks of work that must be done or you should be fired. Anything less urgent & the overhead doesn't warrant
- Source control ticket (github/gitlab), "upgrade to py3.10". Maybe? still feels like too much overhead, creates a mini-Jira
- # TODO: in source code. Not centralized. It is a hail mary pass off to a future dev that may never arrive.
- http://TODO.md - this is about the right level of granularity and it is in the right location (in the repo), creating a TODO is 5 seconds, removing it 1 second.
META: muted words got nerfed. If you had a bunch of muted words, you have to edit each one to say "mute from everyone", right now it mutes only "people you don't follow" And there is a limit of ~100.

Autodevops in Gitlab & artificial reality

I read a sci-fi story about computer-generated artificial reality where the reality would keep running after the computer stopped.
Today, I find implementation in Gitlab! Autodevops, automatically generated reports listing problems
with your build, & I assume this is rational behavior here, it must also generate a team of developers to read those reports and work the bugs. Sadly no sign of merge requests coming back from that alternate reality.
Or this is an attempt to create value by generating reports
that no one reads or reacts to. A failing build needs to stop some real-world activity (e.g. deployment) or it is just superstitiously pushing electrons thru a CPU hoping to generate an artificial reality.

-And java FORCES you to do that all on day one, no choices! oh poor souls.
The cost is a really, really, really verbose syntax.
The regex classifiers for "is this a password" are $#!+ -- I'm looking at these linters that think they've found a password. I bet a sklearn random forest ML classifier could do better job at finding human-made passwords.

prioritization. small* $#!+ should max priority or not done at all. It costs resources to let a work item get into a workflow, it costs more the longer it sits in the backlog.
* i.e. less than 5 min of work, so if there are 50 of them, then do them now.
This is just a generalization of GTD's, "got a TODO item that takes less than 10 minutes? stop and do it in the middle of writing your TODO list. Don't put it on the schedule for next month."
