Son asks Alexa "What will happen in a google years?" and she gets the right answer: heat death of the universe! Anyhow, something for y'all to look forward to.

This is why covid wrecked my Android dev skillz. I'm always at home. https://x.com/NehemiahKiv/status/1334526760696725505
Best tech: The 4 is watching Disney+ on the Xbox on the big screen TV via the headphones that plug into the remote controller. No need for a 15-foot headphones cable.
No, you need the reverse campaign, "Please run for board! Anyone of sound mind? Anyone? Please! You will win, unopposed" https://x.com/maustermuhle/status/1334322505717313537
Parler went life with no plan for content filtering. As if no one has been doing blogs & social media & seen what happens to an ecosystem when it is flooded with spam & crap, like happened on every failed social platform ever.

Ship unit/integration tests in an app to prod (and make them executable there)?
I'm doing post-deployment testing and wishing I had UI button or web service endpoint to run all the "safe" unit tests.

re: #aws babelfish.
T-SQL is the PHP of SQLs. Nah, actually, they all are. None of them support as many modern idioms as say Python Ruby or even Java. So what happens when you ignore T-SQL for a few decades? AWS can hire an intern & re-implement the whole thing over Postgres
Everyone wanted the syntax of java or C# in the database and all we got were those "app server" type things that still needed to call out to crappy SQL to talk to the database. Not that it mattered, SQL CLR was always disabled.
♡ 0 ↻ 0Who ships a feature so aggressively disabled that one never sees it being used anywhere?

I wish I could type `aws whoami` and get the principal section for the n different ways to say who I am in an IAM policy. #aws
IDEA: error logger, but it prints out, stamps & mails a letter that the post office automatically picks up.
It would give an incentive to implement throttling & not log errors inside a tight loop
Now that we're always OOO
Y'all please go learn about Amazon Sidewalk. "The whole idea is that someone's Sidewalk Bridge can securely provide a connection to someone else's Sidewalk-enabled device" There are jokes to be told. https://x.com/mistersql/status/1334113369083817989
IDEA: Amazon Elastic Groceries (AEG) and Amazon Elastic Dry-goods (AED). Amazon will hold all your groceries in a "cloud" and via web API's you will order food and goods to arrive just-in-time at your door so you no longer need an on-premise warehouse.
I now know I got allergies to house dust. Nothing similar to a common cold. https://x.com/jdesmondharris/status/1333797037171564544

think now maybe salesforce can convince all the big orgs I've worked for to pay for a license so my slack messages aren't disappearing all the time?
Blurs the line between fargate & lambdas. I guess you can run a lambda in python 3.9 now. https://x.com/geetharganesh/status/1333932761330163717
IDEA: machine learning classifier to solve Poe's Law
This person is not a good brand ambassador. Traitors who go halfway thru a Putsch shouldn't be heralded because they're competent techies. (Or how about Ajit Pai to endorse routers?) https://twitter.com/walker_jim/status/1333765210201534465
Yeah, I know a lot of DC area senior OIT staff are right-wing nut jobs, but somewhere between 50%-95% of the do-ers are not. They're not going to bet their career on a new tech because it has Palantir vibes, quite the opposite.

How are y'all subscribing to dockerhub image changes? For example, when there is a 3.9.x or a release with the next debian- i.e. scenarios where :latest doesn't apply.
A quick google says this problem isn't on the top 10 results.
Seemed like a good idea at the time. https://x.com/Mangeon4/status/1332955598200180742

docker build not picking up that conf file change (or something in the pipeline)
so I pruned all the images & containers. Reclaimed 50GB. this cache has no sense of space management.

IDEA: resume section for skills you have, probably should disclose, but you're ashamed about it.
I'm really good at clicking around the AWS web console to change security groups.
So in "Free Birds" the government/military time machine flashes some source code on the screen.
Looks like assembler... all those 3 letter codes & regular code in comments. Not open-source, can't find these strings on Github. https://x.com/mistersql/status/1332093088353935361/photo/1

WFH? You should check that backpack you used to take to the office everyday & see what is in it.

I'm guessing everything that depends on cloudwatch. Everything logs, so that means everything, eh? https://x.com/wownevarez/status/1331631585322524674
