Doing some perf testing and error pages are really fast. Convert all those features to error pages and this app is going to be screaming fast.

KATA: Zeno drinks a cup of coffee in the morning, at the next meeting 1/2 cup of coffee, etc. Is this inevitably a lethal (infinite) dose? What dose would you have to start with to get a lethal dose?
Seems like coding this would be easy even without knowing any calculus.

Wow, the economy & tax policy is so bad we're only collecting half of what the US spent this year. Good thing US can print $ without consequences, unlike small countries. https://x.com/usaspending/status/1331221416566525954

Google added "Turkey (the bird)" to google translate and broke it. I wanted to check how to translate "gjöf bíll-gjöf bíll" into Turkey. Hafta wait until it's unbroken now.

Since start of pandemic 179 million tests, if it took ~9 months just to do that many tests, to that many vaccinations for everyone, 1.8x longer, so 16 months

Give a developer http://java.lang.Day and they will compute for a day. Teach a developer java.lang.Lifetime and they will compute for a lifetime, but only if the Lifetime class gets out of early access and becomes part of the official API, ref: https://download.java.net/java/early_access/loom/docs/api/java.base/java/lang/Lifetime.html https://x.com/dashdashado/status/1330660383569416198
So even if the hypothetical under-50-year-old has a 0% chance of being killed, they got a, who knows, 10-100% chance of killing (by spreading the disease to someone over 50) https://x.com/thepacketrat/status/1330223056539832321

I figure 20% of people trying to learn python eventually fail because they can't get the (v)env's working. I bet StackOverflow's data would back me up on this.
How many Thanksgiving dinners y'all got planned? We got at least 2 in the pipeline, tonight & next week. No one's invited tho, it all ours.

Sigh. Work non-stop at improving performance of this code & now it is too fast. Gotta unpush the turbo button on this ec2 instance. Hafta drive all the way to Ashburn 'cause I don't see it on the web console.

AWS asking me if I want multi-az for a resource I know is going to be torn down and rebuilt from s3 data a zillion times over the next year. I want multi-AZ for the thing that spawns the ephemeral things, not multi-AZ for all the things.
Oh, this is the *only* sort of documentation Microsoft understands. 30 years of accumulated facts about a product? Only document/cover/explain features added in last release. https://x.com/Contextify1/status/1329840740483039238

(It would be really, really fast, just have to encrypt 1, 0 & then repeat that appropriately)

How to tell if you have covid. Eat a chocolate chip cookie. If you can't taste it, you have covid. Check frequently so you can catch any changes quickly.

Ever hear of bizop law? It is business franchise law except the law assumes the business opportunity is probably a fraud & franchises generally are not. A college degree is a bizop. If there wasn't the promise of making a living, people wouldn't shell out the $ to get the degree.
In the case of a bizop, there are all sorts of consumer protections to protect against promising a career as a psychologist & charging for the training & materials to become a psychologist. In my opinion, it should be applied to Universities.
♡ 0 ↻ 0Either by making loan payback for a max % of salary & max number of years or like bizops, make the universities give the money back. (so uni's couldn't book & spend all the revenue right away). Or something. Teenagers aren't smart enough to spend $250,000 on a bizop.
♡ 0 ↻ 0Universities selling psychology degrees are literally stealing money from large children with, by definition, zero experience investing in bizops and zero experience avoiding bizop fraud.
