My LLM workflow:
- generate .md file of entire code base, minus noise
- paste into chat, ask bot to do something
- Bot gives me new main.py and I create a m.py file, paste in new code
- Use #Jetbrain's diff tool to manually merge
If I'd used Cursor/Junie etc, the LLM will erase comments and sometimes large sections of code. The bot has a sense of "does this *really* need to be here? no? delete it" and that just isn't safe.
It will add "conversational comments" ("You should do this next")
Also, I just need to see what's going on.

Anyhow this feels like a 3rd, underhyped workflow.

There isn't an Angular framework. There are Angular frameworks.

When interviewing, you don't need to ace the coding challenge (that an LLM could do), you don't need to know all the knowledge questions (that could be googled), but you do need
- to provide value somewhere
- do better than the other candidates
(standard disclaimer, coding challenges should easy & assisted live. & portfolio code is preferable to a coding challenge but realistically speaking, only 5% of candidates have portfolio code. 95% of candidates would like to howl about need to show code)
I think about 5% of people in the hiring chain ever looked at my portfolio code, so hiring managers have some blame how few people have portfolio code.

Ho, I like this prototype. Like an old school blog I see my own content first, blog roll on the side to view other people's content. Content filters for content discovery. And there is no infinite feed! Every button leads to a finite feed of goodness and a dead end.
If people have been voting sarcastically at the polling booth, that would explain the national news.

What even is professional networking anymore? I've had the fortune of having jobs come to me instead of vice versa. Maybe 5-10% of my jobs or jobs of people I know came from social networking. 90% came from putting my resume in some database and getting calls from recruiters.
The UU? Bookclubs? Running clubs? Job hunting just doesn't come up & if it does, those people are in the wrong field, retired, or see a job opening on their team 1x every few years.

I track several habits
- sleep, running, github pushes, mastodon tweets
Most interesting stat - time between habit. Some habits are Gamma distribution shaped, which is generated by the product of several random variables, i.e. several things have to line up for the habit to happen. The raw data doesn't say what those hidden variables are.
The other pattern is habit data can have really high autocorrelations, where if you're doing your habit it is because you did it yesterday and if you are not doing your habit, you are highly unlikely to start,

@neurobashing Yeah, there is a high costs of dealing with news that is out of my span of control. I'm tempted to come up with some policy like, paying attention to the news around voting time (do my civic duty and all) and avoiding the news outside of that.
I've read lots on activism & what-can-you-do-to-help and unless everyone else happens to be doing the same thing (like, say the No Kings protest) I'm not personally making a big dent in US foreign policy. Short of switching my career to work for an NGO/non-profit, not a lot of good options for making a big impact above giving $ to those same NGOs.

TODO: write a script to find all the people I've perma-muted and see if their content got better. I usually try to 30 day mute. On the elk.zone client, timeboxed mute used to work, now it only allows permamute, so timeboxed muting is clunky, gotta change clients.

Mathematical notation is almost expressive enough to do arbitrary programming.
Summation symbol does loops, trig & floor function to do if/else expressions.
What boggles the mind is that I normally see mathematical notation as expressions w/o any imperative programming machinery.
Anyhow, also reminds me of working with Crystal Reports, which wanted you to do all of your coding with easy "expressions" and no nasty programming. The expressions we wrote were like 20-30 lines of code.

IDEA: Agentic StackOverflow. Write a vague spec and ordinary non-AI code will post it to SO with "plz help" and then poll for an answer. When an answer comes in, the code will be executed and the error message posted in a reply with "it don't work"
These dialogs often go off the rails if they last too long, so a new question (plz help?) with current code will be posted after 10 exchanges.
No LLMs needed at all. Just a lot of people that use a f*k ton of water.

Running Linux in a browser really captures the desktop experience that I remember: mouse drivers don't work.
Well I did have a SaaS idea until I realized Airflow and its clones already exist. But I think I see a niche with a moat: Small teams/departments.
Airflow assumes you have enough ETL jobs that efficiently using all the machines necessary to run them is a problem and you need dedicated schedulers and a Kubernetes cluster- like $10m enterprise contract stuff.
No one wants to do anything for a team with just 1 ETL task that runs nightly.
on the other hand, a small department level project often doesn't have money to buy anything- they got a FTE for a software developer, but no money for an IDE, nor a developer laptop, your server is shared with other departments, so paying for Airflow-but-for-smol-teams- they're probably not paying for that either. But if they did, that still wouldn't be a niche that enterprise sales teams would**n't** pursue-- too small.
