If programming languages were chosen based on avoiding vendor lock-in, no one would use languages with built-in standard libraries. Freedom is a community with 500 commercial string libraries & no built-in lib, right?

my 2cents on hybrid cloud. It's like going to buy a car & since you might buy the wrong car, you buy them all and attempt to drive them all at the same time to & from work. But if that is the only way an org is willing to move to the cloud, then sure, why not.

My demonstrably unpopular opinion: Federal agency should be spread across the country. lots of USDA staff are refusing to move to Kansas. I think as constituents the gov't gets more support by providing jobs than by providing the service.
