Is it easier for one VM on a AWS host to read data on another VM, or it it easier to to do the same with Docker? https://x.com/mistersql/status/994623680117444608

"root is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported."
1) This is dumb that sudo doesn't know who root is.
2) The thread of a report is a lie.
3) security through bombast
This is a script that does nothing, but tricks the boss (Docker) into thinking it is doing something. Economists said the machine weren't coming for our jobs.
THEY LIED.

A self driving car is going to fast to stop, to the front is Elon Musk. To the left is Zuckerburg and Kalanik.
HOW DO WE SOLVE THIS?
Fortunately, the car has reverse and will be able to kill both groups.

Oh joy iphone OS updated again. Now it will take 30 minutes to open an email instead of the current 60 seconds, up from 60ms before the updates started.

IDEA: Moral consequentialist coding. Functions may break contract if the result is better than the original contract. For example, a buy() function that fails to buy bitcoin, after the function realizes it wasn't a good idea.

Amtraking today. I'm sort of disappointed I've never been challenged to show my Select AGR card or my NARP member card or the frequent rider secret handshake.
ANALOGY: Maintenance development is like replacing the construction crew with a single building superintendent and wondering why it takes a long time to insert a new floor between the 20th and 21st.

Why do IAM Roles seem to take like a billion years to reflect changes in policy permissions? Why does parameter doesn't exist express as "not authorized"?

Pay-what-you-want to get the Mastering PyCharm in a Humble Bundle. I'm temped to spend some money on that. Time spent mastering an IDE has usually had impressive paybacks in terms of future time saved/more code written. https://x.com/chkroot/status/992046151363899393
someone stole the twitter avatar image from one of my alt-accounts & I came across it on another alt. What is the odds of that. Either very high (twitter treats you and your alts & people they interact with as one group) or very low, or I spend too much time on twitter.

If taxes were funded by everyone to buy their income tax in lotto ticks-that would be a lot millionaires out there. Folk would be looking forward to tax day. On the other hand, 50% of the gov't budget would be lotto payouts. So no change, except its random instead of classist.
that got less coherent making it shorter enough to tweet. My idea is replacing income tax with an *obligatory* purchase of lotto tickets scaled to income. Then we'd get rid of big military contracts that just reward the donor class the the opportunity to take a cut w/o working.
