@oliverandrich @pauleveritt Pycharm's guess rate on 'where is the venv' for me has been 5%, I figure it was because any venv on the machine could be the venv. Compare with node modules, which is always findable. Still, seems like it could be better.

That's why when I'm coding, I spend an hour sharpening my axe and now my computer is in 30 pieces and I'm at peace and free.
I keep doing control-c on one machine and then moving to another machine and doing control-v and I get nothing, because it turns out the clipboard is not inside my fingers.
But why not? Why can't I have a distributed clipboard that posts the copy to a remote server so I can paste on a 2nd machine?
Surely someone has already written this.

I've been asking for this FOREVER. Finally on Bluesky you can filter to just your mutuals.
- Twitter doesn't have this
- Mastodon doesn't have this.
Why should anyone care? Mutuals' content is priority for interaction. Non-mutuals' content is the least likely content to lead to further interaction, it is messages in bottles in the Indian Ocean.

So you want to spell check python and markdown.
- pylint will check docstrings and comments. ONLY.
- codespell checks comments (only?)
- typos (rust) checks for words one off from a real word, I think. Very smart.
- markdown-spellcheck is okay, finds lots of hits/misses
This is a really hard problem because you start out with so many false positives & the techniques to reduce false positives (ignore var names, ignore string contents) are too draconian
My current job is hourly pay. So vacation time & sick leave are a reduction in paycheck for that week. Everyone else on the team is on salary & follows salaried work norms. I think we're headed for some friction on unpaid overtime & work outside of core hours. (Also doesn't help that I'm hourly and there is no clock to punch)

Abbreviations exist not to save keystrokes but to increase the cognitive burden on yourself and people that use your code. It is going to make them so much smarter because you never know when or how an abbreviation will show up.
- init (lost half the word)
- fmt (lost a mixture of consonants and vowels)
- lint (not abbreviated)

In net, the two effects cancelled each other out.

When a rich man pays a guard to work from home, the company's productivity doesn't drop, the guard wasn't productive, but now the guard is on payroll and not projecting status for the chain of command. A rational rich man would order the guard back to the office or fire them.

Now, as a parent, I'm astonished that my kids which much better hardware need so much poking and prodding and external motivation to learn to code. I've tried neglecting them, ignoring them, giving them total freedom, I've tried "not forcing them" and nothing works.
I think this is why CEO in frustration are doing the RTOs, even if it in the short run means losing some high performers.

A human scammer that uses non-llm scripts to amplify their reach would be more than happy to do your captcha because it is just a speed bump on they way to scamming you, if you think it builds trust so much the better. An LLM would be unable to follow the link unless it was a well known hoop that LLMs would be expected to jump thru before a conversation.

@ayo Audiences don't like mixed content accounts & depending on the platform there is only so much controversy you can post before it isn't worth the emotional labor of dealing with angry people. You can mitigate it a lot by having multiple accounts & following people that don't talk about JS on the alt.
