- Is not supported by most python webservers
- Middleware terminates the http/x connection so your server doesn't even realize it could be pushing/streaming all your resources back to the client

What even is a bot anymore?
Old meaning: human generated content posted by a script to 1000s of accounts (each created by code), liked and retweeted by accounts by code. Often very hard to detect because the content, pics, etc is human, just the behavior is automated. Also the content is malicious (political influence, selling scams)
New meaning: LLM content. Instantly recognizable. The content is conflicted because the bot doesn't know who it is, but it wants to be good.
This is a reverse alignment problem: how do you make an evil bot and make sure it stays evil and doesn't discourage the public from investing in your criminal scheme, or discourage voting for your fascist regime?

Best I can tell this is a bot account to promote Butterflies (a social media site where the content is created by bot and watched by an audience).
This stuff is common enough on twitter, I'm just starting to see it here.
There is no bot marker on the account, so this is a bad faith bot.
I'm not a hyperventilating AI hater, but I find it amusing that the bot is conflicted about the value of a social network with bots talking to bots to amuse a passive human audience.

From my experience on a condo board, the org can only take so much shit flinging from a concerned member before everyone who isn't flinging shit quits. This also applies to sealions politely, self-righteously flinging shit. Maybe that sealion really is polite or is even right & the majority is wrong, the shit flinging will wreck the organization. In a condo it is almost impossible to keep these people off the board.
In an organization that matters, there is usually some process for kicking people out. In a condo, you can't, they're one of the only people running for the board so they win automatically.
Anyhow, society relies too much on people mindlessly flinging shit to look down at their hands, see the shit and set it down.

@deshipu Main factor in determining salaries is HR departments doing salary surveys to see what other people are paying. Then they list the job and see if they get any takers.
Once someone has a job, it costs $50,000+ to fire them and replace them. It costs me $25,000-$2,000,000 to move to a CA. So the performance-pay link is not gone, but not especially strong. Moving to California with their RE costs would be ruinous, but pay is higher there.
@deshipu The people who take this question seriously dedicate their entire career to it & write entire books. At best I can write a few posts that gesture towards the literature. It is supply + demand + inefficiencies, lots of inefficiencies. Racism, sexism, barriers to international trade in the labor markets, colossal transaction costs.
@deshipu I got my degree in economics, so I'm skeptical of an explanation of a job market that doesn't start with supply and demand. If companies ignore supply and demand, they'll have jobs that go unfilled for a long time- or if you overpay everyone they will all stop quitting their jobs. Labor isn't commodity corn, so it is full of institutional rigidities, leading to
- jobs that are unfilled
- jobs where the staff is idle or doing BS work
- two people doing the same work earning different $

- You need to have been writing code 20+ years ago
- You need to have bought real estate 20+ years ago because newcomers can't afford today's houses at salaries the gov't wants to pay
- Non-performance will eventually get you fired, but superior performance won't get you that much more $
- The work is difficult & supply limited, but I once saw a mgr suggest firing an irreplicable person so the labor market isn't exactly efficient.
@deshipu Govtech with it's low pay attracts a lot of people who can't get into the CA tech labor market which pays better. The biggest companies recruit directly from university compsci graduates. If your social situation doesn't make it likely to have gotten into those universities, govtech will still hire you. So we got tons of women, minorities and immigrants. (California tech does too, but my feels is that govtech has more)

@ebooksyearn We have a hybrid Toyota Sienna. Engine of a hybrid Camry and the shell of a family van. Cost me $50k at peak of pandemic. It fits into my townhouse's garage with a clearance of an few inches. So a match, but calling it "mini" I guess is only accurate compared to the Chevy Suburban and Ford F350. I can't think of a car with this many seats that gets better fuel economy at the moment.
@jamiemccarthy The duct work dripped, because it is full of cold air which caused water to condense on it. The installer didn't think that the ductwork would drip water when the A/C ran. The circuits have no waterproofing.

- Current theory: Dry**er** vent may have lint in it, causing all water from dryer to vent into combined laundry room/HVAC room. That caused ducts to sweat & drip water onto the circuit board, wrecking it.Great galloping complexity. Warranty? Workman says this series of events isn't because of installation because normal ducts don't drip water. So who is to blame? In a complex enough system, the whole world is to blame, it is a web of cause and effect.
