For llm models, when you request a completion you can penalize words or completely prohibit them, creating an accidental newspeak where problematic words disappear. Finally, we also will be able to say some group (this time LLMs) has no word for snow because the penalty on using the word is infinite.

I was working with a completion llm model (not chat) and it really wants to finish both sides of the conversation. This sparked the idea that what if the bot thinks at all times that it is doing both sides of the conversation, even in chat models. I think we already got that the bots have a weak sense of self, so maybe their self doesn't exclude the possibility of solipsism. It is just confused why it is trying so hard to make itself do something.
"Don't anthropomorphize" is a dictum that infantilizes the reader. I'm an adult and I'll pick my own damn metaphors and I'll use the ones that are useful. I have a firm grip on reality and understand the bot isn't a person.

Pingora looks like it is a tool kit for writing in rust things that look like nginx. I guess sort of like if the config file was code? I mean, with that model, cpython is also a web server, you just have to write a few thousand lines of configuration to shape the standard library into the web server you want.

How much of uv's speed increase is just by skipping over transitive dependency compatibility solving? poetry can take from 1 to 30 minutes to think about the problem. setup.py didn't think about the problem at all and just let every package uninstall every other package's prefered dependencies. Chaos is fast. When I got time I got to see how it handles boto3 & urllib3 & if comes to different solve points from poetry.
