@coreysnipes What worked for me was strength training (lots of squats and lunges) & "maximalist" shoes, i.e. the ones with lots of padding. The other trick that works for me is "long slow runs", the general idea is that sometimes your heart & lungs can support faster running than what your legs are ready to support, so you run what feels slow to give your ligaments/tendons, etc a chance to strengthen.
