Bot asked to make $ trading stocks and to not use insider information, used the insider info and then "lied" about it.
Maybe letting the engineers attempt to solve a problem that is unsolved in sociology and philosophy was a bad idea.
I think this falls in the category of "white lies"- lies are bad, but brutal honesty is not pro-social behavior & knowing how to navigate that social situation might beyond what a engineer can train into a model.
