The nostalgia for blogs forgets what it is like
- to get nonstop spam, so much spam & it is your job be an anti spam engineer, or delete spam all day
- to get comments from the worst people because you were not in an ecosystem that does something to discourage the worst people
Also, blogs at peak were maybe 1% if the interaction I get here and I'm a tiny social media account.
