TIL: (most?) programming languages can't handle signification digit calculations, i.e. the idea that in a measurement, say, 1.200000000000, the extra zeros are not significant, *except* when you did a precise measurement and the thing really is 1.20, but you don't have enough info to say 1.200 or 1.20000. Floats can't tell them apart. Floats seem to only care about handling 12.0000000000000000001 that insignificant bit at the end.
