@acegopher@octodon.social str and repr overlap. One is supposed to be "string format that is pleasing to humans" and repr is "roughly the source code representation". Both descriptions are fuzzy and neither are enforced. That last one is "gimme the source code representation of bytes and then turn it into bytes and then display that as the source code version again.
