@lewiscowles1986@phpc.social In my uninformed opinion, as someone who doesn't even want to do the "easy" pluming tasks myself, The problem is society has decided to put no more than $20 worth of engineering and manufacturing quality into the moving parts inside the tank, so they break nonstop. I'd speculate that getting moving parts that are submerged underwater is the same hard problem as making moving boat parts which have to be engineered to survive constant water contact.
