Both R's and D's this round thought the economy was far worse than it really was. When surveyed, people thought the economy and their personal wealth was cratering because of rising grocery prices & they were not bothered by high car & house prices (!)
Hmm, maybe this is why in much of human history there have been price controls on food. Left, right, people will turn on the the government of any sort if it costs $6 for a $3 loaf of bread.
