We're not going to have an RSS revival when the best way to get the RSS feed is to view source and search for RSS.
And there isn't going to be an RSS renaissance while the RSS feeds have CORS blocks on the xml endpoints! Because nothing says user friendly like needing to setup a GHA proxy for every !@#$ feed you want to follow.
