Today in "words are hard to use"
There are 3+ levels of accounts/anonymous in mastodon world
## Accountless? Anonymous?
- Read-only API calls
- Can share or react elsewhere on the internet, but not on Mastodon without account.
## Pastebin/textboard-like
This does not really exist today! (AFAIK!) I'm working on changing that.
- Weak identity lasts based on session token
- Some posts can't correlate as being made by the same person as another post
- with mastodon APIs
- not federatedI can't see any servers being willing to federate with this because moderation of a pastebin or textboard is so radically different, e.g. an account ban is meaningless. Moderation is based on content and prohibiting behaviors.

- Burner email address, no correlation to real world
- Long lived account with reputation by followers, likes, etc. (users don't destroy their reputation lightly, fear blocks and bans)
- "Verified", meaning you verified you're the same person as a person somewhere else on the internet, but no twitter style verification to see if they are the right person in the real world.♡ 0 ↻ 0
