Considering adding a twitter integration to my mastodon client so I can let people post mastodon invites & help lead more people off that platform. The APIs are mostly write-only or extortionarily expensive, so I think that is a feature they would like to encourage, eh.
Free tier is completely gone? For a while it was free to use the APIs to post but cost $ to hit any read endpoints.
Well, what about share endpoints...

♡ 1 ↻ 0This is wild. The API biz is so messed up that it created screen scraper businesses that reproduce the API using screen scraping (like nitter, etc)
They can't make the twitter website require the same friction as APIs so they've created a business for paid proxies.
Just wait until consumers have to get an paid API account to tweet.
