Q: A picks lotto numbers with a biased RNG - always 1-12, 1-31 & 50-80/0-18. B picks lotto numbers with an unbiased RNG - 1-80, 1-80, 1-80, etc. Ignoring splits, who wins first?
If my intuition is right, this could double the speed of my keno simulator
I simulate millions of tickets, against millions of drawings. Python's random.shuffle is slow (so is random.sample) So if I can just re-use the same constant (or otherwise non-random) ticket against a random, unbiased drawing, then the game would go 2x faster with no change!
♡ 0 ↻ 0And by splits I mean, the strategy of picking "unpopular numbers" so that jackpots are not split or split between fewer people. E.g if pick 3 is a jackpot, then the day it hits 888, a popular number, it will be split among many winners.
