Thing I've learned driving my Malibu Hybrid:
1) You get better MPG if you change your driving habits
2) Cruise control helps MPG, it isn't just a novelty
3) Think of transmission as semi-automatic, you get better scores by switching back and forth from L to D

(small print: 75MPG was for a 5 minute time window, last 100 miles average is something closer to 40)
