In the past, when polar ice cap ice melted, it takes 300 years to raise the sea level 50 feet. Phew, that is so slow. Let's do some math first, 1/2 of Florida is 6 feet above sea level, so when the melt starts it will take (50/300)*6 years = ... 1 year.
