Watching a thread about SAFe & someone says, something like, well if folk only tried harder & didn't screw it up, SAFe would work. I know nothing about SAFe, but isn't that what they say about ITIL, SDLC, etc, etc.
In history, they got this controversy about if something happened because of great men (i.e. history is bios of kings & presidents) or because of big systems (i.e. fedualism->capitalism->etc) Imho, it is both. A methodology isn't enough you need the right folk to pull it off.
♡ 1 ↻ 0Great people wrote apps under SDLC which is shit-sandwich. A clown show won't be able to ship notepade.exe, not with Scrum, nor Kanban, nor SAFe.
♡ 1 ↻ 0Great people will naturally notice that chaos isn't serving anyone and adopt some sort of process. Imposing process on a clown show can't make clowns ship code.
