Amtrak to downgrade foodservice & call it an improvement. Roughly, you will get the option to buy the 1st class airplane-style meal. So if you pay $$$$ for a sleeper, you will get subpar food. Those sleepers aren't cheap in terms of $ or points.

They could just raise prices on the food, bring back non-disposable eating gear (it is all plastics & disposable now), and put some more contemporary options on the menu--although Amtrak deserves credit for making sure that there is at least one option that covers healthy eating)
