All small country statistics are vacuous statistical artifacts. If you drew a line around the largest city in the largest country, that virtual country would have the world's most impressive stats per capita/sq mile/etc. (looking at you Netherlands, Iceland)
In fact, when you sort any ratios, the statistical anomalies representing the fewest events move to the top & bottom. States like RI are going to be disproportionately represented as having the most mosts. IIRC, I read this somewhere in "How Not to Be Wrong"
