I'm late to the UBI convo. I can see it is incredibly inefficient (giving $1000 to Bezos too!) I can imagine that that is the cost of getting permission to give $1000 to the poor without the poor having to prove that they are Noble, Pure of Heart, Deserve it, & are "just like me"
