Autodevops in Gitlab & artificial reality

I read a sci-fi story about computer-generated artificial reality where the reality would keep running after the computer stopped.
Today, I find implementation in Gitlab! Autodevops, automatically generated reports listing problems
with your build, & I assume this is rational behavior here, it must also generate a team of developers to read those reports and work the bugs. Sadly no sign of merge requests coming back from that alternate reality.
Or this is an attempt to create value by generating reports♡ 2 ↻ 0that no one reads or reacts to. A failing build needs to stop some real-world activity (e.g. deployment) or it is just superstitiously pushing electrons thru a CPU hoping to generate an artificial reality.
