I better there is some metric for how many buttons/user invocable actions are available on a single screen vs total worflows. When all actions are available on all screens, the concept of a workflow is hidden. In a given workflow there should only be a handful of buttons shown.
I'm looking at you Deltek, tear down this wall of buttons!
