So my kvm may have been failing because it was... unplugged! It was pulling all the power via USB?!!
Anyhow, too late, I already upgraded to my quad-kvm setup.
A device that needs to be plugged in, should be off when unplugged. I'm having a hard time blaming myself for not noticing.
