metaphors for sofware project management- Running metaphors (sprint) work, but it is more like a marathon where instead of running for 26 miles, you run for 5 hours and stop.
(obviously, I'm in the camp of people who think that "Done" is less objective than buyers of software think, that you just run out of time & resources, and *that* means the code is "Done")
