Endorsement: The Hilton Hotel credit card & points game. My fam's been playing the game for a few years now & if you like inexpensive regional vacations & got kids, it is a really cost-effective way to do short vacations. We're doing VA Beach next.
We've done ~3 rounds of signup bonuses, and have just about exhausted the points (after that it goes back to being market rates with ~5%-10% discount), but while the points game is going on, it isn't rational to get a hotel by other means.
