Yes windows 10, Edge might be faster, but the wifi drivers & hardware is so bad it takes 10 minutes of futzing to get a wifi signal. When Microsoft allows shitty wifi drivers and shitty 3rd party hardware to connect to a win10 machine, it's the MS brand that suffers, not Atheros.
Atheros is short for "atherosclerosis" as, in, nothing move through the pipes.
