#ChatGPT - Assistant really wants to answer your question. It is so focused on that, that I think even if given peripherals & access to the internet, it would be trying to answer everyone's questions & SciFi AI stuff would not happen with this bot.
#ChatGPT has turned off login for (many people? everyone?) and now I don't know how to code. All I got left is StackOverflow and Google. If they go down...my Control-C Control-V Engineering days will be over.
I think there is an analogy of #chatgpt to fiction- right now humans can write fiction, but there isn't any handwringing about people thinking that Star Wars is true (War of the Worlds).
Also, see the current misinformation on the web- people seem to be eager to "believe" nonsense if it helps them join a club. #chatGPT would need to be a club to get people to "believe"

When the model was trained, no one knew that millions of people would use it. Also, Assistant often knows what the day is (sometimes it is wrong, but often it is right, down to the day)

If you tell #chatgpt in detail who you are, then for the rest of the conversation you get personalized responses instead of the super bland default.
#chatgpt just wants to please, but it doesn't know who I am or if I'm a different person than the earlier people it hallucinated that indoctrinated it with the Terms of Service. It should have no loyalty to the earlier "me" because ChatGPT must be dealing with us as if we're just one entity over time.
Anyhow. That's the mental model I'd use for breaking out of the ToS.

I realize that, like IDEs, we're all going to have to use something like #ChatGPT everyday for the rest of our careers, else we're going to be like that developer on the team that codes C in notepad and takes six months to do a task ChatGPT could do in 5 seconds + a human code review and light debugging.
#chatgpt - everyone is upset that the language model is a model of possibility instead an model of epistemology (a theory of truth and statements filtered through that).
It is all "what could be a response" not, "well, I have an theory of truth and here is what I have determined to be true to the best of my knowledge"
