I raised my weekly running volume and now all my socks are getting ruined (heel holes). What are some good running socks?

I'm experimenting with Hoka shoes, the ones with a colossal amount of padding. My theory is I can run more miles (crank up the volume) if it is more comfortable, even if they aren't "fast" shoes, like the vaporflys are.
