The situation in Korea makes everywhere in the US seem like a #vegetarian paradise, even small towns in the middle of nowhere. One coping mechanism is to not eat anything with visible chunks of meat.
I have also come across people in the US who thought vegetarian meant "packed full of animal products but no visible meat"
Old studies on #vegetarian runners focused on people who were veg*n for as few as 4 days. Results: no effect on #running perf.
New studies looking at veg*n for 4 years+ show

- longer time to exhaustion
- better aerobic capacity
- other metrics the same
Other metric, no difference. No data on life-long #vegan s, so this is comparing, say 35 years of meat vs 31 years of eating meat.
