I survived the sales pitch. If Hilton offers you a cheap hotel deal, it might be a timeshare pitch.

I'm thinking, if you vacationed 1 week a year, and paid $215 a night for a hotel, that is the same as a typical annual maintenance fee on a ($1500), so even if the upfront cost was cheap or $0 (which it can be on the 2ndary market, $2k +/- ... it still doesn't compete with paying cash for a hotel.

I'm looking up how much hotel I can get for a $1500 a week, cash. I can get a lot of hotel for that much cash. Beachfront luxury hotels can run double that.

By comparison to the price of a hotel in cash or the timeshare price--- Hilton Honors + Hilton Amex is getting your hotel for free it is so cheap in comparison.

So that's my endorsement for today. Sign up for and get inexpensive vacations, even the $500 a year credit card fee version works out to being incredibly cheap (compared to cash or timeshare)
