Google's AI give me the impression of three well funded teams all pulling in wildly different directions, all ignoring their techies.
- Releasing Bard at all. Bard is Google's AWS Titan. If they thought Bard was good, Bard and Titan are a strong signal that the AI team at Amazon & Google are f*king morons who are building a better Eliza
- Vertex AI in cloud console vs Vertex ai studio vs gemini.google.com - 3 different websites with no polish, same name, weird docs, muddled target audience

Why I'm still doing anything with them:
- Gemini might be as good as GPT4 and might be ~25% cheaper.
- Google offers $300 of AI money if I can spend it in 90 days. I can spend that in 30 run of my side project.
But they are bottom of my list. Rankings for developer friendliness:
1- OpenAI
2- Anthropic
3- AWS (as an alternate way to access Claude, their models suck)
4- Mixtral (I'm just getting started...)
5- Google
