@lewiscowles1986@phpc.social They have local versions of dynamodb, lambda & api-gateway (via sam), stepfunctions...uh that's it unless I start counting services where AWS is just a wrapper around another locally installable service like postgres or opensearch.

The need to use something like localsearch is driven by access levels. At shops where I had unlimited access to AWS, mock servers were a hindrance. Where I have limited access, localstack-like things is promising sounding, if personally expensive
