@askonth I'm talking about the unboxing experience. I've done the same mini project in several languages over the last 2 days. Some like ruby, node, go seem to just work out of the box, the installer can set the PATH. Others if you can set the PATH, that's good enough (e.g. Java, gnuCOBOL). Clion found several gcc compilers scatter across my machine installed by anyone, everyone and you can see cmake's diagnostics looking for the compiler and saying, "nope, nope, nope" and then it gives up.
