I've been using a notebook for a week. Observations:
- Handwriting is so slow. OMG. I want my keyboard back.
- Personal productivity systems (PPSs) are optimal for people without a boss, or with a job that is 80-90% unstructured, or for weekends and vacations when work-a-day structure collapses.
- Modern motivations are often related to behavioral addictions (lots of YouTube videos on "use a notebook, stop scrolling" and the like.

The systems are so much like programming. Create a bunch of data structures and unwritten programs that you will attempt to run on your brain on some cron schedule.
E.g. write down date, site, reason, emotions each time you end up on social media, fill a few pages and then review to see patterns. Or BuJo's calendars and constant copying of data from page to page. Clearly could benefit from the user of pointers.
