What even is professional networking anymore? I've had the fortune of having jobs come to me instead of vice versa. Maybe 5-10% of my jobs or jobs of people I know came from social networking. 90% came from putting my resume in some database and getting calls from recruiters.

The UU? Bookclubs? Running clubs? Job hunting just doesn't come up & if it does, those people are in the wrong field, retired, or see a job opening on their team 1x every few years.
