If you strip out the algorithm and engagement bait, I'm starting to think almost all platforms (rss, here, FB, everywhere) have content problems where there is a desire to read content faster that your organic network (people you have chosen to follow) can create content.

I think this is analogous to writing a scary movie. The script writer can choose spooky or can choose a cheap jump scare every 3 minutes.

All the platforms have chose cheap jump scares every three minutes with
- algorithms (we know how to distract you from your mission)
- retweet floods
- reverse chrono mixed feeds
- unsorted/ungrouped data (simulates complexity and mystery when it is just mess)
- every db update is a feed event (likes, retweets, follows, someone viewed your post!)
