Old school left wing politics in the US, promised everyone would be in the middle class and we'd live comfortably
Contemporary visions of the future is where the billionaires are punished and the Nazis are punished and white supremacists are punished and that is it. No worker paradise, just left wing revenge grievances, we're no better than the the White House

You might be thinking, hold on Matt, I got a vision of a better world, with universal health care etc.
But no one tweets that. There is a bit of yimby and that's it.
I figure this is echo chamber dynamics. The Overton window on the twitter replacements is very narrow, so why bother tweet about UBI, your audience already basically agrees.
But rage and grievance, especially against other people in the same camp`*`, that gets likes and retweets
`*`(the only thing worse that Nazis, Cannibals and mass murders are other left leaning people who are left wing enough)
