Algorithmic feed = evil. exploitation. slavery. contempt for *you*
Chronological feed = bad 1/2 the time, but w/o the malice of the algorithmic feed

So content in a feed is either news or special interest (i.e timeless content). Chronological feed hides all the timeless content. For example in youtube, you only get the crappy content with sponsors in the feed. You have to click, see all videos, most popular to see the best content the creator did before they got famous and quit their day job.

Self-replies

So my mastodon client that sliced up the content so it wasn't jumbled let some content pop up like rocks emerging from a river when the water level drops. This was awesome! I didn't know some of these accounts had real, vivid people behind them hidden in the retweets and noise.

A few weeks later... not enough content! Too hard to find what is new and unread. (Or old, but good & unread). So that's the next feature I want to work on.
